Absolute chaotic disaster

Times Now Digital
Updated May 10, 2020 | 09:42 IST

... “What we're fighting against is these long-term trends in which being selfish, being tribal, being divided, and seeing others as an enemy that has become a stronger impulse in American life. And by the way, we're seeing that internationally as well. It's part of the reason why the response to this global crisis has been so anemic and spotty,” Obama said ...

“It would have been bad even with the best of governments. It has been an absolute chaotic disaster when that mindset of 'what's in it for me' and 'to heck with everybody else' when that mindset is operationalised in our government," he added ...

No other advanced nation denies healthcare and work protections, or loosens lockdown while fatalities mount

... With 4.25% of the world population, America has the tragic distinction of accounting for about 30% of pandemic deaths so far.

And it is the only advanced nation where the death rate is still climbing. Three thousand deaths per day are anticipated by 1 June.

No other nation has loosened lockdowns and other social-distancing measures while deaths are increasing, as the US is now doing.

No other advanced nation was as unprepared for the pandemic as was the US ...

13. because we let 1500 radio statiions yell hoax! in a covid theater for

3 months when this started, enabling and encouraging the trump admin, and now they have transitioned to 'herd mentality' and massive death rates and more excuses for voter suppression are preferable than transitioning to single payer and more sustainable and fair solutions and a working democracy facing global warming.

and this suicidal get-back-to-work propaganda operation is led by a bitter lying ignorant racist who's dying from stage four lung cancer who, unless dr fiona hill is an idiot, has basically been working for putin for at least 12 years

considering the record of the republican talk radio monopoly being increasingly more in tune with russian interests than GOP establishment interests we cannot ignore the possibility that the deadly 'incompetence' is not at least partially be design, for a variety of reasons.

and we let 87 universities and thousands of local and national businesses continue to support those radio stations and the few hundred limbaugh wanabes who will continue to lie and hate and create corporate and rtump- friendly constituencies through november.

in the last few days since the flynn thing, while calling for low wage people to get back to work, they've been screaming about the 'deep state' coup on trump and attacking obama and schiff and their supporters are letting it happen once again. limbaugh even attacked michelle obama the other day as somehow being involved in this 'treason', with trump even recently labeling those who 'wronged' flynn and perpetrated the 'russia hoax' as traitors.

this country is losing 1000s more people than we would have if we were still a functioning democracy capable of national discussions based on fact and electing competent people not enabled by alternate reality coming out of the asses of a few hundred radio blowhards (with fox spreading on the visual icing)

Former President Barack Obama has been biting his tongue for long enough! It's time to speak up and remind people what a GREAT leader is supposed to sound like.

Hopefully former Presidents Clinton and Bush will say something soon. It's really time to speak up, guys!

Get up off the sidelines and speak for justice and truth!

Both of ‘em! All three of ‘em! Their duty to your country never expired. Even in purported “retirement.”

Now is NOT the time to sit back and watch. The extraordinarily disgraceful abrogation of leadership that afflicts our government REQUIRES them to step forward and be counted again. And lead again.

5. Republicans despise government (except when they can cash in)

They have spent decades undermining not only our government but using the public airwaves and media outlets to promote their toxic propaganda. We are now living their dream for our country and it’s very ugly and deadly. Meanwhile, they are laughing all the way to the bank.

10. Yes, without accountability, we are giving tacit approval of their actions, and they go even further

We have been giving the wealthy and connected criminals a pass for far too long. The pervasive corruption in our system has decayed it from within and we all pay the price, currently, with ever-mounting death tolls. We need leaders who not only call out corruption but also who have the courage attack it head on. We also need citizens who pay attention and support an assault on corruption. A democracy isn’t sustained on apathy and are at a crossroads that will determine if the US, as we know it, survives. With a rapist at the helm, it’s not looking promising.

We are one. The more division created the less our collective well being, but those people in control actually believe that burnishing their ego is a good thing. Thus we are lead on the path to destruction.
