The decision to shelve detailed advice from the nation’s top disease control experts for reopening communities during the coronavirus pandemic came from the highest levels of the White House, according to internal government emails obtained by The Associated Press.

The files also show that after the AP reported Thursday that the guidance document had been buried, the Trump administration ordered key parts of it to be fast-tracked for approval.

They really do want as many people to die as possible. I don't understand why.

1. I don't think it's as much a matter of *wanting* many people to die

as it is not caring if they do as long as the economy gives the appearance of recovering. People are just collateral damage if they can make it look like everything is under control and it's really not such a big deal. The CDC's guidelines would have emphasized the seriousness of the situation and Trump doesn't want it to look that serious. Everything will be fine and the virus will be gone before long, so don't worry about your investments.

Dead people don't vote against him - primary reason and 2ndary is dead people don't collect social security or Medicare benefits. Besides he needs our deaths out of control and increasing at election time - it is his main ploy at this point. He wants to stop early voting and mail in voting so you risk your life to vote. Then governors in red states will close all the precincts in their blue cities so it takes many hours to vote - increasing tension, frustration, fear and strife. RW'ers are all set to "defend drumpf" on election day and have vowed to bring guns and stop us from voting "illegally" - which means anyone who is a minority or a woman can expect to get hassled. Then when people push back, which will happen for reasons stated above, guns will be deployed and people shot. This is what drumpf needs to declare martial law and stop the election - this is his PLAN. SCOTUS will back him up because they too want a rw fascist dictatorship and disdain our constitution and laws.

3. Lark I wish you were wrong...but you're not.

The only branch of government that has the power to stop this craziness is the judicial and they have been compromised by Liberty U and Patrick Henry U robots for decades so I have no faith in them either.
