1. Apparently Russia is counting the cases differently.

If somebody dies from pneumonia, cause of death is listed as pneumonia, not covid, even if pneumonia was caused by covid.

This way, if somebody with cancer dies from covid, list the cause of death as cancer.
Heart attack, diabetes, etc.
Covid deaths will be really low.

If someone over 65 dies without diabetes or other conditions we could blame instead, we should always just put it down as cause of death: 'old age'.
