...with prospective purchases. Does she get credit for two out of three (not keeping her distance)?

Otherwise - gosh people there like to live dangerously. Hope they like hospital food.

Did they find any specials on designer funeral shrouds?

Sheesh! We can't even get over the first wave yet, which will spike and maybe even bring a much bigger second wave after that. Or are these people in crowds and gatherings just going to keep it going as one long wave?

Does that mean they don't need Fed loans or PPP? Are they going to send their $1,200 back since they obviously don't need it for important things like food, rent , utilities, health care, etc.

I think I was kinda into social distancing before it was a thing.

I like stores like TJ Maxx, but won't be going to any for a long, long time. They absolutely aren't essential.

I hate crowds and hate shopping. For some people I guess it like a hobby or sport. To me it is a tedious, boring necessity and I certainly wouldn't do it during a pandemic.

When I got a divorce last year I got rid of just about everything. I've had great enjoyment in getting new things just for me, a little at a time, but I will never fight crowds to appease my shopping habit.

I enjoyed browsing now and then, but I never could handle crowds. Now I enjoy the convenience and flexibility of shopping online. I can take my time and compare items. Some things I have to buy in person, but not too many.

I have to add that I worked in retail for a long time, so that really killed any appeal for shopping, especially at Christmas.

Plus - I live way out in the country so I have a long drive to stores. I’m a master of online shopping.

for the most part, I love online shopping. I can compare different items and read customer comments. When I realize I need something, I can go online and add it to my cart. Then later I can go in and make any adjustments or remove items before ordering. I find I am less likely to buy impulse items that I may regret later.

I just never got into the consumerism that so many of my friends and family seemed to love. To me, shopping was a necessary chore, not some extracurricular activity like tennis or gardening.

Good to see you!

but other than that, I pretty much stay out of the stores unless there is something I really need that I can't find online. Like something I have to try on from a store I'm not used to buying from. I really hate shopping.

opens up time to do other things that are more enjoyable. For a lot of people shopping is an addiction and they end up with bags of stuff that they don't really want or use.

Shuffling through packed racks of clothes
Fighting for a dressing room
Standing in long lines
(It makes my back hurt, just thinking about it)

No thanks!!!
If I saw a store that crowded, I'd be like, "I'm coming back another time"

I think one of the reasons we're seeing this in Arkansas is that we really haven't had many cases in much of the state and fewer than 100 deaths statewide. Many people don't take it seriously because it has not directly affected them yet.
