What happens when a narcissist finally realizes the virus is a threat to him?

We may be about to find out. People in the white house are now being ordered to wear masks. People are being tested everyday in the White house. Trump is scared, it will be interesting to see how Trump explains this to his voters. Will his voters notice how Trump is protecting himself and at the same time telling his voters everything is great, it's a hoax, go back to work, you're safe. You don't need testing, go back to work.

Man, this is some crazy shit we are witnessing.

but I don't see him as a full bore malignant narcissist. He's able to fake things like concern and empathy, which is completely beyond a malignant narcissist. A malignant narcissist won't even try to fake it because he really doesn't see the need, the spotlight belongs on him, not lame puppies or grieving families.

The first time someone near him ends up in an ICU, I see him going full bore Howard Hughes, retreating to his NY penthouse or Mar a Loco, barricaded behind a wall of locked doors and security guards and living on Big Macs and candy bars because maybe those won't have worker cooties (ha!) on them.

his fear and anxiety. He is a man who does not handle personal crisis well and is so paranoid about everything. This is one time he can't just lash out at the problem, because COVID-19 doesn't care. What is he going to do? Call the virus a "low life loser"? I picture him becoming very unhinged on a regular basis.

On top of everything else, he will be cooped up in the White House, something he already hates. I picture a Howard Hughes type meltdown.

Just like the broken military and shelves that were empty of Covid-19 vaccine, the "previous administration" (code for "Obama" ) left him, there was no Death's Door in the WH basement, and so he needed to put Jared in charge of procuring a new one. This is a fantastic Death's Door, the types of which the world has never seen before. Believe me.

And got it while in France negotiating the Versailles treaty....never was the same mentally, and many historians believe the harsh sanctions put on Germany, due to his mental acquiescence, caused the rise of Hitlers nazism ... cautionary tale

Excerpt from the book “The Great Influenza”

‘President Woodrow Wilson caught influenza on April 3, 1919, when he was in France negotiating the end of World War I. The illness had a tragic effect, for him as well as the world at large.

After his bout with the flu, Wilson was never the same. Future President Herbert Hoover remarked that after his illness, Wilson’s mind lost “resiliency”; others noticed that he wasn’t as quick and easily became mentally exhausted. Wilson also suffered from spells of paranoia: he was utterly convinced that his home was filled with French spies.

Newly weakened, he suddenly reversed his long-held position on the peace negotiation, and agreed wholesale to the terms proposed by France, which included harsh economic sanctions on Germany. These terms would be ruinous for Germany. The Treaty of Versailles would directly lead to economic hardship, political chaos, and the rise of Adolf Hitler. ‘

without speaking his name for the entire year before the election. All you heard 24/7 was Trump this, Donald Trump that, over and over and over. And that wasn't just Fox "news"....who actually seemed to be the only news station that showed a bunch of republicans that hated him; Lindsay Graham for one.

As much as I blame Fox "news" for the destruction of our country in general, the other media outlets were trying so hard to get ratings that they made it sound like trump was the only person in America running for president.

I have to fight like hell with myself these days. Everything I learned in Catholic school, and about karma and all that other stuff, tells me it's wrong to wish evil upon someone else.

And with him, that's all I can do, instinctively. My instant reflex is to wish evil upon these evildoers. "I hope they get sick..." and worse. And then I start feeling REALLY guilty about that, so I back away from it.

There's this French saying "Honi soit qui mal y pense." Rough translation - "woe to him who thinks evil." I try to live by that, but I often fall rather short.

Factoring in his glaringly obvious cognitive erosion at its current stage, he will be too impaired to serve. My father had a very severe influenza infection more than a decade ago, and he never really recovered. Although he probably was in the early stages of dementia, we never observed any signs of it. That is, until after that infection. He was vague for want of a better word for about a year and then he began to exhibit extreme anxiety and paranoid delusions and devolved from there. tRump wouldn't just bounce back after Covid19. Boris Johnson may have survived, but he's fifty-ish (and we don't know exactly how physically active he is at the moment and how it may have affected other bodily systems). Maybe he's fine, but maybe he's not.

Better to call them the selfish self-centered self righteous anti Christians... but that title is way too long.
