If he starts wearing one now, it's an admission that things are worse. If he doesn't while all his staff do, it's a pretty open admission that he doesn't care about their safety. And if nobody does, it's a signal that they're going to Thelma-and-Louise the whole administration right into the canyon.

(13,903 posts)It being in the WH does not mean he will be infected or if infected he will be sick.
As much as I would like to see the Pig on the short end of karma...he has too many resources, doctors and handlers to dodge this bug.
If he has a mild bout they will cover it up. He will have to be deathly ill or dead for it to see the light of day.
I don't care if he is fat and at risk the Pig is lucky on top of all that.

To bubba sitting in front of the TV, Trump will appear strong for not wearing one if Biden does wear one.
Its the 6% of undecideds who matter.
47% will definitely vote for Trump.
47% will definitely vote for Biden.
How does the other 6% vote?
And if its that close, and it will be, then we must have laser like precision analytics in order to get back the 78K votes they cost us the Blue Wall in 2016. I think we take PA and MI. Im not convinced of WI. That means we must also flip some combo of AZ, FL, IA, and NC.

(11,259 posts)I don't see it your way. Trump may get 40% if he is lucky. Those who gave him a chance know what an asshole he is now. He is toast .

(2,065 posts)Perhaps college-educated women, and even working class women, will continue to trend away from Trump.
Trump is, however, a polarizing figure who is talented at motivating the pole that supports him.

They want to let covid19 wash over the population. Not one of them publically contradicted Trump on his virus treatment suggestions of using disinfectants and UV light internally. They are cultists, and cultists don't use resason.

I really don't want to see some of his people wearing a mask with a tube coming out of it.
It's unfortunate that Trump's ego "trumps" his capacity for rational thought.

(1,614 posts)and if someone in the white house gets really sick Trump will look worse than when he suggested injecting disinfectant will kill the virus. at this point he is fighting against a landslide loss.
