Too often we Democrats think that because we have the best policies, all we have to do is state them and we should win. But as Wilson points out, people decide by emotion, not policy. Get their heart, and their mind will follow.

That is how advertising works. That is why Republicans use it.

We must play hardball with our ads. We must use policy AND emotion.
