Trump going after Obama *ensures* that Biden must go after Trump
So much for any excuse about looking forward and never prosecuting prior administrations.
All Trump's doing, as usual.

1. Not sure I agree
Better to let the millions who admire Obama do the dirty work.

4. I'm not so sure of that.
Looks like another case of Trump digging his own hole.

6. Good luck with that
Let me save you some time and give you the excuses you'll likely hear up front, as all of them have already been used when it came to not going after Bush and Company:
"It's untested legal theory" "It's just too high a hill to climb" "It will open our president to future prosecution" (Seems like the right is doing that right now) "We don't need to be the ones to break tradition" (The "tradition" of not going after previous administrations) "It will needlessly divide the country" "Voters want us to look ahead, not behind" "If we're seen as being too vengeful it will turn off moderate and independent voters" |

7. But your points #3 and #4 are exactly my point
Trump going after Obama *does* set the precedent.

8. If Trump's financial records are finally turned over, and illegal acts are uncovered, he should be
investigated, charged and prosecuted after he leaves office. Not for all the "crimes" he committed while in office, but for things like possible money laundering, tax evasion and much worse. As Trump always says, "we'll see what happens."

11. Just giving Trump the benefit of the doubt...till his own financial records remove all doubt.
We all need to be fair and impartial, you know.
