It is becoming obvious. Millions of Americans can't handle staying at home watching movies, barbecuing a steak. It is too great of a sacrifice. They can't handle wearing a mask when they go out. It is too difficult.
They can't social distance, it is too difficult. Thy cannot handle any changes to their life style. They cannot comprehend the world, their lives have changed. They do not understand this is a moment where you must make great changes, great sacrifices. The party is over until we get a vaccine. They don't get that.
This summer, as we continue to open things up, the American people will let their guard down. Hell, many people are doing that now.
As fall arrives, the virus, along with flu virus will increase like a tidal wave.

The second wave, the seasonal one anticipated in the fall, is just the natural course of viral outbreaks of the past...the echo outbreak is what we will start to see by Memorial Day and what will be killing thousands more by June. By the 4th of July, expect the outlook to be as bleak as it was in March.
The sheer stupidity of the American public is depressing. If these people did not have a better than 50-50 chance of infecting and killing me, I would say let them go do what they want - pack the bars and stadiums and churches, die off by the millions if they wish...but unfortunately, I do not wish to die in their collateral dammage. I do not want to see my children lose their father or mother while still teens.
At some point, when is self-defense going to be redefined? If I were in a 'stand-your-ground' state and someone violated a 6' clearance of my property, are they NOT threatening my life? Am I not in my rights to shoot them first and stand my ground later?

(4,379 posts)If I get the virus, will I survive it. Most healthy people believe they will and that is true.
People should look at the virus this way. If I get the virus will I spread it and possible kill people, including people I love.
