Justice Ginsburg bringing up the Whitewater investigation
Cristian Farias @cristianafarias 8m
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg bringing up the Whitewater investigation, which subpoenaed personal Bill Clinton records, while Brett Kavanaugh, who was part of that investigation, is hearing this same case is ... so wild. twitter.com/cristianafarias/status/1260210285262131201 Link to tweet Link to tweet

Supreme Court precedents don't apply to Republicans!
It's right there in the Constitution, next to "Obamagate". There's nothing just about GOP justice. |

8. Then bring up Nixon.
He turned over the WH tapes minus 14 minutes, but it was all incriminating anyway. The Dipshit and his advisors know this but won't admit it.

20. "I think Trump's lawyer is doing a better job than the House lawyer."
The House lawyer arguing the case for fat ass to turn over his taxes to Congress could be Clarence Darrow, but let's not forget that the High Court is still 5-4 putin-leaning thanks to Evil MoscowMitch. I have the same sinking feeling that you do that this ruling will be going fat asses way

24. Republicans could easily defend their position...
Whitewater was different because the Clintons were criminals.
The fact they never found any criminality just means they were very good at hiding it. So there! And then the Republican has to walk away as fast as possible to avoid responses. |

She stands for the "rule of law" in a lawless presidential administration. I respect her, and wish she was my surrogate mother so that I could hug her.

32. A bad day for trump is a great day for me!
Absolute immunity isn’t a thing. This should be an absolutely scathing 9-0 decision from SCOTUS. I'm wondering if enough SC Justices will think of their legacy, immunity from retribution, and their country - and make the correct call here... Be prepared for the 3 am rage tweets....
Yet a week from now he will still be in power all of his cronies will still be committing crimes and nothing will have changed. They will delay ruling - late summer. |

36. That was so interesting to listen to. I've never heard a SCOTUS case before.
One thing that surprised me was how brief it was. I don't know what I expected, but I guess I thought it would be a day long affair. In any case, it was hard to detect much sympathy for the Trump position from anyone. If they decide for Trump, after all, they would be telling the world the Supremes were wrong on Watergate, Jones and Whitewater and that the founders were wrong when they decided to have a president and not a king.
