Schumer asks 'what planet' Trump is on president declares US has 'prevailed'

Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) on Tuesday incredulously demanded to know “what planet” President Trump is living on after Trump said during a press conference on coronavirus testing that the U.S. had "met the moment" and "prevailed."

Schumer blasted Trump on the Senate floor for “a stunning disregard for the truth.”

“What planet is he on? More than 30 million unemployed and we have prevailed? One point three million infected, 80,000 American fatalities — those numbers still growing and we have prevailed?” Schumer said.

“I don’t care what your politics is. No one should tolerate a president who ignores the truth, says whatever pops into his head, whether it’s true or false, or dangerous and then moves on his merry way to speak the next untruth, talk about the next quack cure,” he said.

Trump clarified during the Rose Garden press conference Monday that the U.S. had "prevailed" in coronavirus testing. But Schumer said that statement was also false.

Trump spent an entire lifetime conning people in his real-estate and development business, whether to investors or to contractors: "95% of units will be sold in the first month and you'll get your investment back"; "we'll pay you upon completion of work." None of this, of course, true. And don't forget what he was promising Trump University students.

The guy's a hokey salesman, snake-oil hawker, from the old days. He's selling snake oil now.

* Goniff is the Yiddish word for " thief, swindler, crook."

2. trumps living in his made up reality show

Where he can make up the facts for himself as he goes along, and against those that oppose him using barr to make up excuses his opponents are corrupt with manufactured legal opinions with more holes in it then swiss cheese. trumps latest claim with Obama is an example. Reporters should next chance they get , ask him if Obama was born in the USA, and that he was wrong when he claimed he wasn't . When trump lies they need to make him repeat what he claimed , and repeat that he was wrong. Remind him of his lies, make him admit he lied again in pubic.
