Trump in this crisis is like a grinning chimpanzee at the controls of a 747...

...pushing buttons and flipping dials mindlessly in hopes that something good would come of it. I stole this simile from somewhere, don't remember exactly...but it's fitting, I think...

something that does not make it worse (like auto-pilot). No, this chimp is actually looking for better ways to torment the passengers.
