And it felt GOOD if felt SAFE! Except...the one redneck idiot there with his teenaged kids. All of them took their masks off and we're strutting around the store. You could feel the vibe. He was WAITING for someone to challenge him. Most just gave him a wide berth. I suppose Costco figured it was not worth a fight. No one did anything.

(15,067 posts)Same deal. They required everyone to put on a mask at the entrance. But walking around, I saw several people had taken them off. One was a woman who was with her middle school age son. The kid had on a mask, but the mom did not! I stayed as far away from them as I could and then mentioned it to a supervisor on my way out.
They are patrolling the aisles with a "6 foot separation" sign. I would doubt that they challenge people who take off their masks, though.

(5,586 posts)Felt super safe, everyone was wearing a mask. Felt like it was fewer shoppers than normal.

Seems like he'd probably be happier at Sam's Club anyway.

(62,387 posts)I went to Costco last week. I don't know if I would say I felt safe, but at least I knew we were all rowing the same direction.

(7,805 posts)everyone wearing masks, some wearing gloves...the security guard stopped anyone attempting to enter the store without a mask...carts were cleaned as we walked in...a woman took her mask off once she got into the store and another security guard warned her and when she refused to put her mask back on he escorted her out but not before taking her picture...she will no longer be allowed in that Whole Foods..and you're right it felt good..and next month I'm getting on a plane to see my daughter and grandchildren and in July I'm going to Denver to see my son and his family...and if the airport TSA and flight personnel shower me with disinfectant I'll stand quietly while they do it and I will wear my mask on the plane and velcro hand sanitizers to my clothes....whatever it takes...but I'm not staying in place anymore...

(53,342 posts)i was quite pleasantly surprised. I hadn't planned on going out in the middle of the afternoon but we were out of fruits completely and had to do a curbside pickup at another small grocery already.
A bonus was a small pack of Angel Soft TP and Bounty Essentials select-a-size PTs!

(296,854 posts)masks & no one took them off or they would have been asked to leave. It's that kind of Costco.

(6,242 posts)It is actually 4 days but they have free shipping over 75.00 I thought it was a pretty good deal. We were doing so well in our area until this past week. It seems no one wants to even pay attention to the rules. I like the way Costco is trying to handle things, I hope they can stick with it.

(14,118 posts)at the entrance recommending masking and distancing and there were announcements over the P.A. recommending the same. I treated everyone masked that I saw as my friend. Waiting to get in a nurse was behind me and when I looked she didn't have a mask so I said "No mask?" through my bandana and she reached into her purse, pulled out a mask and put it on! I saw a family of 5, father and 4 children come in, all masked so I think it's getting better...

(11,686 posts)the six foot rule. I even get dirty looks sometimes for having a mask on. It is going to be fun when I get my Biden 2020 mask.

(46,684 posts)90% of the people wore masks. I told my husband that there was one mother that really bothered me. Young, blonde mother, with a give no fucks attitude pushing a cart with three young, blonde kids that were practically falling out of the shopping cart she was pushing. I think it was a shopping cart. I just remember the look of distress of the little girl that was hanging on at the bottom. None of the kids wore masks.
My husband said that almost no one at Home Depot was wearing them, but the one that caught his attention was the mom who wore her mask, but her child didn't have one.

(10,667 posts)I went to my medium-sized Grocery Outlet a week ago and saw about 90% of people wearing masks. I can also report that the place was just stocked to the gills. Shelves stacked high and what didn't fit was neatly stacked in the aisles. Gave me a nice, warm feeling. :^)

(13,056 posts)area have masks on. I think that's party because we have had very few cases here so far. But I had to make a quick trip to Salt Lake City today and almost everybody in Salt Lake that I saw was wearing a mask. I did see a few wearing masks but leaving their noses uncovered. Of course the nose should be covered as well as the mouth.

(4,886 posts)I counted 2 of us that had a mask on. I wash my hands and use paper towels to touch anything.
Then hand sanitizer when I get back in my truck.
This will never end

(1,753 posts)person that went in the store, as well as those coming out, were wearing masks! For the most part I have things delivered and this was the first time I had been out since mid March, and so I really didn't know what to expect; it was very comforting to know so many care for one another.

(11,949 posts)Went to Publix today and I would say 90% had masks. 2 weeks ago I would guess it was 60%.
But Ive also notice it varies by location. There are 2 Publix I wont go to because so few people wear masks.
