Over the past 3 years, "the institutions are holding"?

You‘re aware the Supreme Court held heard a case yesterday about drumpfs tax returns?

You're aware of hearings in Congress yesterday from covid task force members?

I think some level of assumption of awareness of current events is acceptable?

But your OP is still without context. Admittedly, I don't spend my day glued to CNN or Fox or MSNBC, so when something has just happened, I don't know it immediately. And I'm still not sure what institutions are holding what.

Again, not everyone is watching exactly what you are watching.

OMG! Did you see that??

Since this has been a major point of discussion for several years, I assumed posters on this political discussion board would be aware - politics and government all the context needed. No more specificty than that. Supreme court and congress was all over the news yesterday.

My mistake.
