Inside Donald Trump's Mind: "Why are those women reporters" (Original Post) MineralMan May 2020 OP

No part of his demeanor relishes those situations. He doesn't savor them. Just the opposite, in fact. They repel him because some lowly so-and-so is pushing him out of his comfort zone, namely looking like he's in complete control, and he can't stand that.

And having been married 3 times (so far) should make him know that women aren't always pleased with his boorish, ridiculous beliefs and behaviors. And then, there's his mouth...

just the odd clip now and then.

I don't know the balance between men and women reporters. Are news organizations accredited or are specific reporters accredited?
Wouldn't it be a hoot if now and then the real news networks sent only women reporters? I thought Weijia Jiang was fantastic, as was the CNN reporter. April Ryan is always fun to watch. Maybe the male reporters should take a break now and then and confront the buffoon only with female faces. And who wouldn't love to see Helen Thomas at a time like this.

I see her most mornings during the CBS This Morning news broadcast. She's their White House correspondent.

She always gets called on by Trump at his pressers, too. Trump likes to bug her, and she's very good with her comebacks.

The White House Correspondents Association ceded the authority to credential reporters to the WH itself some decades ago. It was a HUGE MISTAKE (as we now see a WH that has politicized the process, allowing stooges and shills entry, and punishing reporters at will by pulling the press pass).

NOW, the Association only has the power to assign seating. The WH has the power to decide who is allowed on the property (including reporters).

The reporter himself or herself is not the holder of the ability to be present. It is the press entity. CNN, NBC, etc.

In the parallel world of press coverage of Congress, reporters have their access codified in Senate rules.

WH reporters have no such protection.
