I have started staying at least 10 feet away from anyone not wearing mask

And I'm telling you they don't like it. When they are near me I look at them and move away.

So far only one has said anything. He was going through canned soup at the grocery store and I stood waiting. He looked at me and said "you go by." I replied "you're not wearing a mask, I'm not walking anywhere near you."

He put his soup in his buggy and said "whatever. fuck."

(and this is true), so are they going to stop doing that, too, assuming they've been doing it in the first place? Are they going to wave their shit-stained hands at us while saying the CDC isn't the boss of me and making me wash my hands after taking a dump is fascism?

Distance is good right now, regardless of masks.

We are ALL potential carriers.

"And I don't want to risk infecting you in case I have the virus and I'm not showing any symptoms yet."

It's like when head lice rips through an elementary school. There are some parents who have it deeply ingrained that getting lice means you're a dirty person and bad parents. No, it's that head lice are very opportunistic little buggers who get passed around a grade school classroom very readily. Get the soap or shampoo, everyone wash your head, launder all your clothes and change the sheets and pillow cases.

Covid-19 is the same way: Wash your hands frequently, don't touch your face, wear a mask, and wash your hands. Aren't you glad that's all it takes to minimize the risk of infection? You don't have to buy some really expensive sanitizer or take a really expensive pill with bad side effects. Geez. People.

I've been to the post office a couple of times for necessary trips and I've had people hold the door for me, as was the custom a few months ago, and even if they're wearing masks I tell them to go ahead so I won't have to walk right past them. Been trying to say something like "Thanks, it's not like it used to be."

I also noted that the ones without masks were also the ones not following the arrows directing the traffic flows in the shopping aisles.

I am very cautious as well (even though I have not ventured outside my door more than 2 or 3 times since early March, and then because it was necessary). But do know that the risk of contracting the virus simply by walking past someone for 2 seconds is extremely low. Almost all cases have been from close contact with an infected person over a period of time. Sure, if the person you pass coughs as you pass them, go home and shower down immediately. Otherwise, the risk is low.

This is all to say, do be cautious, and do do what makes you feel safe. And do respect the 6 foot rule if you need to be in a line or such. But I don’t know that we need to give people dirty looks or comment if they are not wearing a mask. There might be a reason: they can’t get one or have used up the ones they had; they have breathing issues; or if they wear glasses the spectacles fog up (despite best precautions) and make it hard to see to shop. Yeah, maybe they’re assholes, maybe not though. Just turn around or wait; but we shouldn’t unilaterally vilify people we don’t even know.

All had masks on but social distance was out the window... I had to keep telling people to back off. One asshole tried to cut in front of me!.. I finally left...... it was not worth it. Also the line was not moving.. I'll go first thing in the Am when it's quiet.. PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS will get you sick... Keep distance time and intensity to a minimum.. Just like dealing with radiation...
