Did you mother raise you to be an asshole, or do just wake up feeling that way?

6. The majority of deaths have been in a few hot spots.

In the Midwest and South, the death rate has been lower because so many people have been in lockdown. So many Trump supporters do not yet have first-hand knowledge of the virus or anyone they know who has died. I think that contributes to their belief that Trump's telling the truth and all the deaths and infections have been overstated by the media to make Trump look bad. I think of the people as being easily led by a charlatan because they, like him, are not intellectually curious and are often poorly educated. In addition, few of them have any experiences outside their communities or states. They do not travel much and never to another country. They’re insulated within the bubble of Fox News and hate radio. And there they will stay unless something happens to push them out of their comfort zones where minorities are to be hated, immigrants are to be barred from the country, gays are to become invisible again, and women are to be forced to have children they don't want or can’t support. Not a group I want to hangout with.

… in 14 days Wisconsin will be seeing a new surge in COVID-19 cases, and they will have no one to blame but themselves - and their faith in a carnival barker.

I was a dust lawyer for 2 decades (asbestos and silica) and learned that little factoid in litigation.
