Covidiocy - the new pandemic

I swear, the human race is doomed. There are new articles out discussing new symptoms *related* to Covid-19 (rashes in children, strokes and blood clotting, etc)

Every time a local news FB group posts one of these articles, there’s an onslaught of “fake news”, “it’s not Covid“, “it’s not related “, “not reading it”, “more fear mongering”

This is *information*! It’s not fear-mongering! I wanna bang their heads into a wall!

It’s something to keep an eye out for. Have kids or grandkids and see an odd rash with no explanation, think about this. Have hypertension or high cholesterol? Be aware!

This isn’t an episode of Family Guy! The virus isn’t going to knock on your door and go “Tag, you’re infected!”

This is reality!

I used to consult in IT. I now tell people who casually mention FB that it is a hotbed of misinformation and lies. Ads that prey on emotion and ignorance. The noise level is so loud it drowns out critical thinking.

While, I understand there are good people on FB, I just feel it is not worth swimming in the polluted water looking for the few remaining good fish...

I had to end my FB days in order to maintain my sanity. Whole lotta crazy over there...

We laugh at what people believed hundreds of years ago but I bet hundreds of years from now people will laugh at what I believe.

Still it’s pretty damned scary.

But funny in many cases too.
