I am still in shock!

I cannot believe there has not been a sustained, coordinated, national movement to demand Trump resigns. He is extremely mentally ill and we are letting him kill us on a massive scale.

Trump is on TV right now talking about things that are completely delusional. There will be a vaccine by the end of year, maybe before, because of operation warped speed. It should be called, operation warped brain.

Trump and his puppets are on TV right now saying all of this will happen. They are guaranteeing it. I shit you not. It's pure madness. It's a fake show.

I am sorry, but America is currently having a severe, nervous breakdown and the medications are not working. We are considering placing it on suicide watch if it becomes more dangerous.

Some of the symptoms are delusional beliefs in alternative realities, extreme paranoia, magical thinking, susceptibility to suggestion, conspiratorial fascination, etc. America is increasingly unable to address a consensus reality in a reasonable way right now. The patient is being monitored.

Eric Boehlert in his Press Run asked the same question: https://pressrun.media/p/west-wing-nervous-breakdown-media

Why are newspapers not all lined up and clamoring for Trump to resign? They had no problem demanding that of Bill Clinton over Monica and of Richard Nixon. tRump is killing us all while actively smashing the rule of law to hell on a daily basis.

Boehlert concludes:

The sad truth is, the Beltway press remains afraid of Trump — they're bullied and battered. And that's changed how they deal with the White House. Specifically, they refuse to fight back.

But I agree with your assessment: her love of reason, of the scientific method, of medicine, itself, has been severely compromised by something even more horrendous than covid-19.

It's called GOP-think and it shouts stupidity so loudly that it drowns out facts, reason, and detachment in the formerly scientific minds of the unwary.
