Seeing that people in Wisconsin in these times, aren't doing

Any social distancing and all that, I’d like to propose a similar way to deal with hurricanes.

If a hurricane is coming your way, just go about your regular routine. Don’t go buy batteries, food, etc.
don’t board up your windows. And certainly, don’t evacuate. You‘ll be perfectly safe where you are. The media are just exaggerating the strength of the storm.

of course.

Reality is that which, when you ignore it, doesn’t go away.

"Belief means not wanting to know what is true.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche

We are at a point where that is a prevailing issue concerning our collective well being. It is an issue of the health integrity of our consensus reality and alternative realities, (personal and group) are now more than just oddities on the sideline, they are pouring poison in the well.

Several municipalities have as well. I live in a red county and some businesses are sticking with the Evers plan. I will not go to a business that chooses to do anything different. Most dems are staying out of the bars, wearing masks and waiting to get our hair done.

We are also making headway in replacing the Walker Supreme Court. We had the guts to vote in April and beat the conservative justice by 11%. Too bad she had not been sworn in for Tuesday’s ruling. One of the conservative justice wrote the dissent - that totally amazed me.

These are some counties that are closed (but there are some additional ones that have not been added:

My perception as I stated in another post regarding people showing up at taverns. It has been my experience that many that patronize those establishments are not going to pay attention to what is best for them to do. They have either not grown up yet or will not grow up.

This was clearly a partisan decision against a democratic governor. Saying he "overreached his power" should not mean that the recommendations went too far, but highly partisan people will take it that way.

May 2020

To get the card, all they have to do is show their driver's license, which will be photocopied and entered into a database that all hospitals in the country can access. Tell them that this card allows them to go wherever they want and not have to wear a mask. They'll love it!

Then, when they contract coronavirus and go to the hospital for treatment, the hospital will be able to run their driver's license through the database to see if they have been issued the "I-Don't-Care-If-I-Do-Get-the-Virus" ID card. If so, the hospital should turn them away and tell them to go die at home.

I know this is harsh, but their actions prove overwhelmingly the saying, "You can't fix stupid."

I'm curious if the same logic applies to people that drive over the speed limit and get in an accident and end up at the hospital. The list of similar infractions goes on and on, and I'm guessing we're all guilty of more than a few. I don't want to wish poorly on anyone, I just hope that they see the light.

as far as number of cases. They also border each other.

Marathon County has 100,000 more people in it.

Clark County is full of rednecks and is most likely out of bleach now. They voted against getting 9-1-1 service 30 years ago because it would have raised their phone bill 29 cents per month. The gubbamint had to force it on them.

It isn't the sparseness of the population. It's the quality of the people who make up that population.

And the places on the news are being highlighted because they are not the norm.

The very few restaurants that are open are doing it responsibly, with social distancing and staff wearing PPE. And they are not swamped with customers. Most places are saying they aren’t opening for dine in service for a week or more.

This is a very small town , with only a few cases, and no deaths, but they are still taking it slow.

The news media will always highlight the abnormal behavior, for the shock value.
Remember “Man Bites Dog” will always be a lead story.

where certain types of people are choosing to catch and spread this virus. So those types would be disproportionately impacted if they associate with like-minded people.

The sensible folks with the ability to stay home would be relatively safer.

Of course the tragedy are essential workers, family members, and other folks who would catch it from Covidiots without making this choice.
