Just got off the phone with the white evangelical relative. No one is wearing

a mask. They are together with another family member who is 84. They are completely disregarding all the suggestions and the relative laughed when I said you wear a mask to protect other people, (although this one is not in the best health either)

A bunch of kids, some adults and some seniors. What could go wrong?

However, it doesn’t seem to be happening. Bad behavior is not resulting in the virus or death. Nursing homes, factories are the majority of the infected areas.

We are not permitted to have any visitors. Period. We are also not supposed to leave campus except for medical treatment, visits, and then only with planned distancing, masking, etc.

Others here will turn you in if you misbehave. All it takes is one person to bring it into the community. Just one!

One barber in New York State that refused to close tested positive for covid19, they are alerting his customers. A nail salon in an Oklahoma town that opened had a nail technician test positive for covid19, the shop is closed again and authorities are trying to track down the customers that visited. There will be a lot more stories coming out soon.

If this was 100 years ago or even 50 it would be a different story.

With the internet it makes it much easier. During my time I work on my genealogy, maintaining a spreadsheet and database for election workers for the upcoming election, post flyers and stuff for my local union president, and post for our retiree chapter as needed.

None of it could be done from home without the internet.

And there is plenty to watch on tv.

Fri May 15, 2020, 04:24 PM

Here in Ohio there was a GOP bill introduced that prevents any business from requiring employees to wear masks unless it is approved by 2/3 majority of the house. The bill is being introduced by GOP Rep Vatile who stated that your face is made in the image of god and shouldn’t be covered.Last week they voted for a bill that required all house members to wear masks and was soundly defeated along party lines. What happens when a nursing home employee says I’m no longer required to wear a mask and I’m not wearing one. This bill will no doubt pass and will put many people at risk all because pumkin head won’t come out and promote the use of masks.

So says he they claim as their Lord. I have judged the word of their god by it's fruits and concluded it is the word of: The Liar, The Deceiver, and The Sower Of Discord.

Where are ALL those who claim to have Jesus in their hearts? Why is it only my voice I hear - the voice of an atheist, defending the honor of Jesus in the face of Franklin Graham claiming that only his god (and under the trinity this means Jesus), could have put Don the Con in the white house?

“He did everything wrong, politically. He offended gays. He offended women. He offended the military. He offended black people. He offended the Hispanic people. He offended everybody! And he became president of the United States. Only God could do that.”
Franklin Graham

I know Christians, not all are bigots, many many many are good decent people who truly live to love and care for their neighbors. Where is the righteous anger from these Christians at what even I - an atheist consider to be blasphemy even if against a fictional character? Where is the voice of those who honor Jesus in their hearts in the face of such slander against his name?
