I was disappointed in him at the time, but it certainly ain't likely to happen again.
(And yeah, I know that shitting on golf is a very DU thing to do, but I promise you, this will matter to Trump. And anything that pushes that worthless piece of garbage closer to the edge is fine by me.)

I just have to accept that if I need a cute cartoon symbol at the end of the sentence, then I have failed to communicate effectively. 
and people have had time to get a read on you, it won't be necessary.
But yeah, with no nuance, nor even a hint of irony, unless you meant exactly what you said, then maybe for now that wasn't a particularly effective attempt to communicate.
