Here's my favorite Secretariat video-- "against" the 2015 American Pharoah-- Secretariat wins by many lengths.

I'm trying to remember what was the horse that kept up with Secretariat for half the race.

Secretariat at the 1973 Belmont Stakes is perhaps the finest moment. It does bring tears to your eyes!

At the very least, it was tied with Ali/Liston 64, the last round of the Rumble in the Jungle, Mookie Wilson in the '86 series, and 1980 USA Hockey at the Lake Placid Winter Olympics. I am sure that there other events too.

But, there will never be another Secretariat. Some of his records still stand today, more than 45 years later. There can be no finer athlete.

Rest in peace, dear Sire!

His mile and a half record still stands as the North American record and will most likely never be broken.

Yes, I just realized that all 3 Triple Crown records are still alive. That is simply unbelievable, much like Secretariat.

This is why it's difficult for me to see at the moment:

In this one it was "he's into the stretch."

An unbelievable, an amazing performance.

He's all alone!

And still is.

I’ve watched the 73 Belmont at least 200 times, Chic Anderson’s iconic “he’s moving like a tremendous machine” thrills me every time.

I watched a documentary a while back about Secretariat. You can't be a true sports fan and not put him in with the greatest athletes of all-time. I'm not ashamed I had a lump in my throat when he was put down.
And believe me, this is by no means a slight on his incredible records. But, when the autopsy was performed it was revealed that his heart was abnormally large...and not in a bad way. It just was an engine no other horse could compete with.

Linked video is funny, but Covid-19/TrumpVirus sux eggs. It's the worst of the earth.

By contrast, Secretariat is the best of the world. It's what our lives could be, whether human, animal, environment etc.

I'm not at all a fan of horse racing, but this young lad was simply out of this world.
