NOTE: Just ask them "So when is Trump going to hold his next 30,000 person rally?" and be quiet.

NOTE: Just ask them "So when is Trump going to hold his next 30,000 person rally?" and be quiet.

It'll take less then 10 second for their voices to go up 5 octaves and the excuses to spill out cause they know its not safe to go back out and its best people take the money from congress and stay home if possible.

People be careful, its not over ... according covidactnow.org there isn't but 10% of 3007 counties that are green and meet minimum opening standards.

Stay safe

We’ve got people who just “feel” it’s okay to go out and gather in groups. We’re up to the umpteenth thread of “I think I had it back in December” here at DU.

Just a little simple cooperation and we could deal with this thing rationally. But, fuck no.

EVERYONE wants this to be over, to get back to "normal" life. To not have to worry about getting sick and dying or becoming debilitated is a wonderful dream. The reality is that we don't know enough about the virus, STILL, and there is not really any viable response other than to shelter as much as possible, social distancing, and wearing protective masks and other clothing until something more effective comes along.

However, just as Trump used people's racial fears and bias, the discontent with some of our governmental institutions, and general anger in order to make it close enough to cheat in 2016 and win the electoral college, he is using people's fear and their anger at the current situation to force relaxation of the tools that have been keeping the US relatively safe.

People are going to go out, get sick, start dying, and then they are going to say, "What happened? How did we get from 88,000 to 350,000 in the span of another 3 months? Who knew this would happen?"

"Will you be rubbing shoulders with all the other MAGA people?"

Who knows, though-- they just might because risking death would really own the libs.
