My name is Jason Fletcher and I am running to be the Democratic nominee for State Senate District 36. As a longtime Indianapolis resident, I currently reside in Perry Township and have been employed in law enforcement since 1997. I have worked for both the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Community Corrections, and I also serve as a Deputy Constable since 2005. Currently, I am employed with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office with the Adult Protection Service Unit. I work hard daily to ensure endangered adults are protected and direct them to the services they need. In 2012, I was elected to the Perry Township Advisory Board and I served as a Board Member until 2016. In 2018, I was a candidate for Perry Township Constable.

I am running for State Senate District 36 because I believe we deserve a Senator who is hardworking, responsive to ideas and concerns of the constituents, dedicated to our communities and neighbors, and willing to do what is right for the State of Indiana.

I have been involved with the Democratic Party for many years, often volunteering in numerous community's activities and programs throughout Indianapolis. I have many years of experience helping other candidates get elected. I have worked at the polls, knocked on doors, attended fundraisers, written postcards, made telephone calls, and have volunteered hundreds of hours for other Democratic candidates. I am a hardworking individual who wants to #MakeItRight in Indy. I have two wonderful daughters, aged 19 and 15, who have also been involved in politics over the years with me.
