Can barely see through the tears. I just want to live long enough to cast a vote for Biden and hope I get to live to see trump hauled away or buried.

(18,672 posts)I started crying. We need this man and more like him to be in leadership positions. The younger generations have gone through so much shit and they need to hear this. Not evil self-serving incompetents. What a breath of fresh air.

(3,056 posts)Although I do see it as a distinct possibility now. I don't care what happens in November, or by what margin his gets his ass handed to him...he's going to declare the election was rigged, he didn't lose, and he won't go. His problem will be that whether he accepts it or not, his reign ends at 12:01 PM on January 20, 2021. If he doesn't go voluntarily, the military that he's spent the last few years fucking with will gladly remove him.
Wouldn't you love to see some variation of this?

(19,560 posts)This wasn't a scholarly speech, it was tailored for a young audience and worded as a motivation to such. Still, it was so much more coherent, intellectual and uplifting than anything we've seen from anyone in way too long.
We all needed this desperately.
I'm might just start a rumor on social media Biden is considering Obama as his VP just to scare a few right wingers.

The remaining people still supporting Trump are giving out excuses like, "I know he makes an ass out of himself on Twitter and TV, but in general, I support his overall policies.
I need ideas for rebuttals.
Miss the President and First Lady.

(343 posts)...unless we vote against it. I feel bad for anyone born in the last four years that thinks Trump is what we are or who we've been. I suspect he and his friends would like that to remain the case. To remove the expectation (or knowledge) of anything better, and of course wait out the lives of those that know and lived otherwise.
