1. I need to come up with some one-liners that get the point across - without being inflammatory enough

to put me at risk.

I encountered a couple of COVIDiots today coming out of the grocery store through the side designated as the entrance. As they passed me, they remarked, "They'll be OK, they are wearing masks."

I couldn't think fast enough on my feet to make the point that my mask protects them - and their lack of masks puts my health at risk.

2. Almost any comeback will put you at risk. People like that are like firecrackers.

Any spark will set them off. Best to just walk away, unless you are ready to spar.

I live in a red area and the look in people's eyes tells me all I need to know. They are crazy. Dump has lit their fuse and they are ready to go off at a moments notice.

Please be safe and take a deep breath. Your safety is more important than some snappy comeback.

4. It isn't a matter of safety v. a snappy comeback

It is a matter of safety from COVID 19 v safety from physical violence.

Taking a deep breath will only put me more at risk, as I breathe in the unmasked expirations I cannot avoid unless they learn and begin to respect others.

In my opinion they are beyond learning, perhaps you will have better luck.

I wish you well, truly.

There's no one-size-fits-all response: ultimately, you'll need five or ten sound-bites

Fuck off, MAGAt.

If people don't care about 80k + deaths or the risks to their young children then no one liner, snappy or otherwise, is going to suddenly make them see the wisdom of following pandemic protocols. They deserve nothing but scorn and rejection.

But hey, good luck anyway.

3. I love your idea. It is kind of morbid but very powerful.

They need to see it everyday. I just wish I drove more. We don't go out much anymore since the lock down and even if they lift it we have decided that we won't be taking a chance until there is a real vaccine.
