I Can't Believe President Obama Did Not Wear A Tie For Graduation Speech
It was almost as bad as that time he wore a Brown Suit.

1. It was tan.
But I’m sure someone will mention the tie thing.

2. I'm Sure Someone Will Too
I was simply having a hard time with the fact I was once again listening to an intelligent individual give a clear and coherent speech, without looking like a sociopath and an idiot.

3. I feel the same way.
But I’m delighted to have listened and I know he reached millions of High School Seniors and inspired them. He was right. They’re going to be growing up faster than the rest of us adults.

4. He seemed to be in "dad clothes " & that's Ok for teens, who the show was for & about
Except for his own kids maybe who may not like his dad look
Just goes that way sometimes with parents and clothes ![]() |

5. He was very unlike Trump.
Normal, intelligent, articulate and approachable. Not someone who has to put on false airs (let alone hair or skin tone) to try to impress people. He let his mind and his word impress us, which for me at least, they did.
I liked it, a lot. I've grown to dislike ties since Trump took office, but I actually think it's just the falseness of all of Trump's facade I dislike and have been associating with them. I didn't realize this until I saw Obama being genuine tonight. |

6. Maybe he wanted to create a contrast between
himself and that thing who wears a red tie that goes down to his knees.

8. May be a little push back against the "Obamagate" "Lock Him Up" bullshit from Trump.

10. We should get used to the tie-less look. Joe looks pretty cool when he wears a starched white
dress shirt, open at the collar, with no tie and dark glasses.

11. Most teens and young adults shun suits and ties
They even wear shorts in the winter.
