I'm all in favor of kids being involved early in political activities...

In fact, Mom had me stuffing envelopes for McGovern in 1972 (at age 7) :

...but this is... disturbing:

Assuming they ever get wise....

Toni Anne Dashiell @tonianne55

JUST 100 MORE DAYS! We are officially 100 days away from the Republican National Convention! How excited are you about re-electing President Trump? Luke and David are pretty excited!! @GOPconvention @realDonaldTrump #RNCinCLT
Help us spread their excitement by sharing this video!

When the history of this era is written, and the massive mistakes made by the Trump admin are laid bare, those poor boys will have to live this video down for the rest of their lives. For their future, I urge you to self-delete this.

Seriously, it's like if you have pics of your kid on Hitler's lap in a bomb shelter. You don't put them in the album on the coffee table.

5. "He uses words we can understand!"

"He makes our childish behavior seem acceptable"

"He seems like a guy you could have a juice box with"

"He looks like he is wearing his father's clothes like i do when I play dress up"

"He doesn't like to play with girls either"

So many ways I can go with this.

10. Adlai Stevenson got me in 1956.

Shortly after my 7th birthday. My parents were big Eisenhower supporters that year, so I didn't get it from them. I was sick with tonsillitis a lot that summer, and so watched both conventions. They were on during the day back then.

11. There is a difference between parents encouraging political involvement

and parents using your children as trained props.

I was involved in politics very early - with my parents' encouragement, but at my initiative. My views did, generally, concur with my parents - but out of 5 siblings, I was the only one involved in politics in late elementary/early middle school.
