"121 pounds of marijuana, six pounds of THC concentrate, two vials of steroids, a small amt of cocai

From May 11, 2020
Not sure where to post this, but it's just such an outrageous story
Wonder what Gorman's 1st words were when trooper's lights flashed behind him!

KEARNEY, Neb. (WOWT) -- An Iowa man arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol Sunday evening near Kearney was found in possession of 121 pounds of marijuana and other narcotics, the NSP reported Monday.

According to the NSP’s statement, at 7 p.m. Sunday a trooper saw a vehicle driving on the shoulder of I-80 near Kearney at mile marker 275.

The trooper initiated a traffic stop and “detected clandestine activity,” so a K9 unit from the Kearney Police Department was called in.

The K9 detected the odor of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle uncovered 121 pounds of marijuana, six pounds of THC concentrate, two vials of steroids, a small amount of cocaine and $14,000 in cash.

Timothy Gorman, 37, of West Des Moines arrested

"The West Des Moines native was a standout wrestler for Valley. As a senior in 2001, he took third at the Class 3A state tournament at 112 pounds, compiling a 29-9 overall record.

Gorman began his professional fighting career in 2005 and earned the nickname "The Psycho." He posted a 9-4 record as a bantamweight, with six wins by knockout or technical knockout, and but hasn't fought since June
2015.

This is not Gorman's first time being accused of drug trafficking. He was charged with three felony drug crimes two years after his last fight, according to court records."

Ok. With his record, Gorman's either going to give up names, get life in Fed prison, or die before he can talk.

"Gorman and another man were arrested in October 2017 after a car they were riding in was pulled over in Clive, and a pound of marijuana and loaded handgun was found.
A police officer working on the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Task Force later found 20 more pounds of marijuana wax, and large amounts of cash in a separate vehicle Gorman was seen driving that same day.

Court records show Gorman pleaded guilty in August 2018 to one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
He was incarcerated from August 2018 until May 2019, when he was released under parole, according to the Iowa Department of Corrections"
_____________

So he served only 1 year of a 10 yr sentence?

"sentenced to 10 years in prison.
He was incarcerated from August 2018 until May 2019, when he was released under parole"

Think maybe the PD were watching him?

Sounds like his young career ended the moment he was introduced to fame & the money.
His entire life from there on was owned till he (literallly) ran it off the road.

This case will be interesting to keep an eye on. There are no doubt, bigger fish than him in the sights of FBI/NARC.

Its a movie script being written, that I would like to watch one day.

We had family around for reunions at the end of last year and it was dead easy for them to find a smoke.

Maybe ran a check on his record after he was stopped for driving on the side of the freeway.

We don't have the data on the rest of what occurred to give them suspicion . It's prob in the PReport.
His court date is June 17, I think. More will be revealed then.
Basically, He f'ked up when he drove off the road in the presence of the HP. What followed was due his own error in judgement.

Far as I can tell, the dogs came after they had reason to search further.
