Q: Will the Murdochs turn against Trump if he costs them too much, or are they die-hards? (Original Post) friendly_iconoclast May 2020 OP
That would be fucking hilarious, but they'll all fall in line behind tRump. madinmaryland May 2020 #1
Rupert M. will push Trump for as long as he's around, but once he goes his kids might not. friendly_iconoclast May 2020 #3

They're more interested in the $$$ than ideology. I've heard the younger Murdochs only tolerate Trump
because he's been a massive moneymaker for them.

If/when Rupert kicks it, his heirs will be looking at Donnie with gimlet eyes- if they don't like what they see, no doubt some of
his GOP 'allies' will found to have been actually Murdoch allies, supporting Trump at their behest.

And they will turn on him when he becomes a money-loser.

They are not mature enough to take stock, re-evaluate their positions, and change course.

That is what makes them so dangerous.

If there was a Democratic President in the mold of Trump (an obvious hypothetical), liberals would turn on him in a second. Democrats would be leading the impeachment movement against their own. And I would be proud to stand with them.
