The second wave is coming...
The first COVID-19 wave is still going on here in America, and soon we will have to prepare for the second wave. The first one, it can be said, was full of innocents. The second wave is full of dumbasses who wanted to protest with weapons/tactical gear about needing a haircut & manicure.
My daughter will be graduating as a medical assistant this summer, and she is not looking forward to dealing with the high level of stupidity she will be seeing in her clinic. So how do we handle this second wave? You know, the one where the True Believers are sickened by a democratic hoax?

1. Unfortunately they'll get better medical help
because of what the first wave taught the medical community.
But among them will be some innocent people too. ![]() |

2. As much as this sucks
With the same care that those who knew no better when they contracted it.
Medical workers care for many with self inflicted wounds due to stupidity and carelessness. The medical worker is an amazing person. Your daughter and those who enter this profession are so important to us and probably do not hear that enough. |

3. My idea
If Trump supporters get sick then they should be on their own.,. why the hell should doctors and nurses and others risk their lives to save them?
Just like those that refuse to leave when a hurricane is coming..leave them to take the consequences of their own actions.. isn't that what the GOP is always preaching? Isolate them and then to Hell with them! |

4. We must start by not lumping in the poorer, honest working folk with the dumbasses.
There's no question that the dumbasses who think real Murkins don't wear no mask will be swept up in that second wave of infection. Also swept up, though, will be legions of honest workers who had no choice but to risk returning to their jobs in order to keep food on their table and a roof over their heads.

8. I'll be curious to see how many new infections and deaths will have to occur during the second
wave before these True Believers finally realize they were wrong? I suspect they, like Trump, will never acknowledge a second wave is taking place, much less accept any responsibility for having caused it.

13. I suspect we will never know the full story.
Already Georgia, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas have taken steps to hide or distort the actual figures to protect themselves from opening too soon.

16. They can hide the statistic as to why, but they can't hide dead people from family
and friends that saw how they died.

15. Unfortunately, the second wave will ALSO be filled with innocents
whose diseases were caused by the dumbasses you refer to.
They will pass the disease on to my daughter (an essential worker who contacts a new potential dumbass at a rate of about once every 5 minutes) who is being as safe as she can be given the necessity for her to continue to work. Further, she will bring it home to me (I've been out of the house a grand total of 3 times since March 6). |
