Bonus surprise in the first-aid kit

My wife cut herself in the kitchen today; just a minor nick on her finger. We took out the first-aid kit to get a band-aid and at the bottom of the kit, next to the roll of gauze, what do we find but four surgical masks!

Jackpot!

all the COVID useful supplies we had on hand and we found two boxes of N95 masks at the back of the first aid cabinet. I thought, “Dang! Those have been there all along?”

from freeze-dried food, water filters, some emergency drugs, and the usual first aid equipment-- packed but untouched for several years.

Earlier in COVID-19, I realized I may well have included a few N95 masks and sure enough, I had. By the time I found those, I was badly in need of replacements for those I'd been reusing.

Sometimes such "planning" does pay off.
