New poll shows Sen. Martha McSally losing ground to Mark Kelly and that's not even the bad news

Opinion: The latest tracking poll shows Republican Sen. Martha McSally losing ground to Democrat Mark Kelly but that's not what should have her reaching for the Maalox.

From the Republican uh-oh department: Arizona Sen. Martha McSally is sliding in the polls, dropping four percentage points in a month.

McSally now trails Democrat Mark Kelly by 13 points, according to the latest tracking poll by OH Predictive Insights.

While the April poll of 600 likely voters favored Kelly 51% to McSally’s 42%, in May it’s now 51%-38%.

The poll shows independents breaking more than 2-1 for Kelly.

going out of their way to destroy their families, their lives.

And in the end they do it for ONE reason and ONE reason only, to make sure women do NOT have rights over their own bodies.

My understanding is that AZ has pretty solid voting system, not heard of any fraud or voter suppression coming out of there.

I’ve been registered as a mail in ballot voter in AZ for many years and have been able to vote that way in every election. It seems like a good system.

We have a pretty good system here and I have always voted via Mail. Of course, I stay proactive and make sure my ballot gets counted and that I'm always registered. We could use a bigger campaign to get seniors to vote by mail.

closed a bunch of polling places in 2018, in disproportionately minority districts:

[link:https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/10/30/midterm-elections-closed-voting-sites-impact-minority-voter-turnout/1774221002/|]

And, expect a lot of voter intimidation by RWNJs via "poll monitoring", now that the SCOTUS has given tacit approval for such tactics. AZ is where Rehnquist earned his far right bona fides by threatening minority voters:

[link:https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a32583391/republicans-voter-intimidation-2020/|]

Once upon a time, there was a voter-intimidation campaign in Arizona. It was a good career move for young conservative lawyers at the time to be part of it, since the centers of Republican power were moving west and south, and since the radicalization of the GOP, spurred by its decision to embrace the vestiges of American apartheid, was beginning to blossom. One of the lawyers who grabbed this main chance was named William Rehnquist. Fourteen years later, he became the chief justice of the United States Supreme Court. They’ve been at this for a long time.

pukes ain't gonna give up easily there. But, it's looking good for Kelly and Sinema did win.

McSally has hitched herself to the Trump bandwagon..She totally supports Trump and has supported him. If Kelly wins this one, that is one less senate seat on their side and one more for us, getting us closer to getting the majority in the senate.. Next month, June, I will definitely be sending money to Kelly. If we gain control of the senate, "Mitch the Ass..le" will lose a whole lot of power. I also will be sending money to Mitch's opponent, Amy McGrath..but that is for another discussion.

She was bascially a "sane" establishment repub - or as sane as they can be - until she saw she couldn't win a primary or have a chance in the GE without cozying up to the asshat. But then she couldn't win the general last time in this increasingly purple state with that approach. As an example, she recently ran an ad showing her in facemask and touting her contributions to fighting the virus. But how does that appeal to the MAGAts who think this is all a hoax, and will they turn out in big numbers to support her in the fall? Doubtful. Meanwhile, Kelly projects strength and compassion that will appeal to independents.

She tried to be a moderate in the last election because of "Doctor" Kelly Ward and it failed. She's going the other way now with her "hack" comment and it's just as successful.

She claimed she was sexually assaulted multiple times in two different scenarios, and then said she didn't believe an Army Colonel who accused John Hyten of rape.
