Around here, Walmart makes you wear a mask before they let you in, and gets some of the same bitching. Hasn't been as loud lately though, and the grumblers get little sympathy.

(1,586 posts)No Mask, No entering the store and they also only allow a limited number of people inside at a time. I saw some guy outside Lowes yesterday fighting with the employee because he didn't want to keep 6 feet apart from the others in line. I didn't stick around until the police arrived.
In the town I am in right now there is a 1000$ fine for not wearing a mask in public.

(2,949 posts)I ordered things I would normally go inside to pick up. You must have at least $75.00 for free delivery, and the items I chose were nonperishable. My order will be delivered by UPS tomorrow. 😁
They do have a perishable plan delivered through Instacart (I think), but I didn't need that service this go round.

(58,647 posts)I wasn't saving enough on what I bought to warrant the annual fee. I live alone and bulk buying wasn't always practical.
But I always admired that they were basically a progressive company that paid well and took care of their employees.

(4,149 posts)They actually pay their employees a relatively decent wage compared to other places like awful Wal-Mart and Sam's. This makes me feel even more positive about Costco to see that they don't entertain bullshit that will endanger their customers and employees.
