1. I swear I was just going to post about this.

I heard him say that but I didn't put two and two together until I was listening to Nicole Wallace and realized he was talking about our Veterans.

This makes my blood boil.

Wasn't there a little bit more of the quote, something like "They were very old, almost dead" or "practically dead." It was sickening. The full context makes it obscene.

4. What a dickwad.

He judges scientific research on the basis of whether or not it supports some bee he already had in his bonnet, and if it doesn't he accuses the researchers of political bias. That's the prism through which he sees everything - if you don't agree with him, no matter what the issue, you're a biased Democrat and your position is therefore worthless.

And he undercuts his own opinion about hydroxychloroquine with his cruel comments about veterans who died after taking it - if a person with a heart problem takes it, it might kill them. It (apparently) doesn't cause heart problems in people with perfectly healthy hearts but it exacerbates existing arrhythmias. So the older veterans with heart trouble "who were ready to die" (and therefore expendable, in His Lardship's mind) are exactly the people who should not have been given it, and Trump is admitting that it's a dangerous drug for some people. But anybody else who says that, like a doctor, is obviously not a friend of his administration. IMO, his administration doesn't deserve friends.

8. I've noticed, his contempt for a person or institution rises in direct proportion

to how sacred we as a country (used to) hold it: NATO, WHO, UN, the Presidency as an institution, our agencies. And the opposite is true too. The people and institutions we deride, like dictators, authoritarians, twisted regimes and techniques like torture, he has unlimited praise for.

Trump is uniquely effed up.
