Republican blames Obama for giving them Trump. Demands more bipartisanship from Democrats.

https://www.salon.com/2020/05/19/meghan-mccain-blames-barack-obama-for-ushering-in-the-era-of-trump-on-the-view/

Goldberg then passed the mic to a visibly displeased McCain, who at first claimed that she didn't have "a lot to say about this" before launching into a broadside against Obama and the Americans, such as her co-hosts, who still look up to him.

"Obviously, everyone on the left has basically appointed President Obama as nothing short of a saint," she said, adding she "obviously feels different" from her co-hosts "as most Republicans and conservatives do."

"I will say: The culture war that I believe is real and is raging in this country, I believe was ushered in with his administration and then exacerbated in the Trump administration," she said. "and if the election were held today I do believe Trump would be re-elected."

McCain said just two months prior that the fallout from Trump's botched coronavirus response could be his electoral undoing. In order to stop him now, Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans have to stop blindly lauding Obama, she said.

"We have to start talking to each other in the middle, and we have to start talking about the faults on both sides, because he was not a perfect president," she repeated. "And I don't think a perfect president would have ushered in the era of Trump."

Did I f**king predict this? I did f**king predict this.

1.
Republicans will disown Trump as a fluke, as not a real Republican, as soon as it's save to do so. After all, look at how they treat George W. Bush: When was the last time a Republican talked about the republican President George W. Bush?

2.
Republicans will demand that Democrats be more bipartisan in the post-Trump era. After all, these are hard economic times and it's entirely in appropriate for these vengeful, hatred-filled Democrats to waste the time and money of the US government to investigate the actions of the Trump-administration.

Obama anywhere in his 8 yrs that validates her position. Bush was far from perfect to. Is he the problem? Oh oh, Clinton, not perfect. Bush one helped lyin' Alzheimer Reagan.

McCain does not get to just throw out Obama wasn't perfect having caused this. The only thing Obama did so wrong was be President while black, to cause the problem she is talking, and that is NOT on Obama.

What gave us Trump was the fact that Obama was black. That was such an outrage to the rank and file Republican that they elected a
polar opposite in order to wipe their collective memory of the Obama presidency. They elected Trump based on the same characteristics that we despise the man. The Trump voters continue to support him for the same reasons. Right wingers are so happy that the Democrats are outraged by Trump that they are willing to self destruct to return the worst president in American history to office. Trump is truly one of "them," he is white, racist, ignorant, crude, hateful and belligerent and they love him for it.

Trump is as much a symptom as a disease. When we dump Trump, we are still going to have to deal with the 30% to 40% of American haters; we can't convert them, and we can't vote them out of power.

We got trouble, right here in right here in River City.
Trouble with a capital "T" And that rhymes with "P" and that stands for(gene) pool!

because they're always electing our faves, too.

I say, let's take the White House and the Senate, eliminate the fillibuster and ram through some true progressivism for a change.

Meghan, plenty of people believe professional wrestling is "real" too. Please point to one thing that President Obama did to stoke a culture war other than being a decent human being and working to empower marginalized groups. I realize that might be offensive to your lily white privileged worldview, but just because your buzz words play well with your base doesn't make them true.

If this is how McCain really feels, no wonder her cohosts can't stand her.

These assholes always use their buzz words and phrases but never define them. I guess if you are one of them you’re supposed to understand. They never get the things they say they want , even when they cheat their way to full republican control

If it was not for her mother's $$$$ & her father's name, her art degree from Columbia would have gotten her a job at a Manhattan Art Gallery, and a 3rd floor walk up in an outer borough.
