It strikes me that the best opposition to Trump right now is coming from the Never Trumpers. They are staying on message, a horrible response to the Covid 19 pandemic and economic collapse. The democrats seem to want to name call which according to most polls is not high on anyones list. There is a need for humor now but there is a bigger need for a consistent aggressive and compassionate message. Democrats are going to need people who are overweight to vote for them and I think Pelosi would be better served by repeatedly mentioning the presidents failures and offering up the democratic vision of change. Let Colbert, Fallon, Kimmell and the rest take care of the jokes.

This is not a setback. This is an opportunity. I think we should double down on this morbid obesity talking point and drive it home as an alternative fact. We have to master this skill somehow.
