Impeached Trump Blocked Measures To Slow The Virus Spread In January

He also blocked measures that would have slowed the spread and saved lives.

The New York Times reported: For Spy Agencies, Briefing Trump Is a Test of Holding His Attention

Mr. Trump ignored a host of warnings he received around that time from higher-ranking officials, epidemiologists, scientists, biodefense officials, other national security aides, and the news media about the virus’s growing threat. Mr. Trump’s own health secretary had alerted him five days earlier to the potential seriousness of the virus.

By the time of the Jan. 23 intelligence briefing, many government officials were already alarmed by the signs of a crisis in China, where the virus first broke out, and of a world on the brink of disaster. Within days, other national security warnings prompted the Trump administration to restrict travel from China. But the United States lost its chance to more effectively mitigate the coronavirus in the following weeks when Mr. Trump balked at further measures that might have slowed its spread.
<snip>

The [Impeached] pResident refused to consider any national strategies. He refused to declare a national stay at home order. He rejected national social distancing orders, instead only allowing voluntary guidelines to be issued. He refused to order people to wear masks in public. Most importantly, Trump refused to have adequate PPE available, and refused to implement a national extensive testing program for the virus.

Trump has routinely acted in bad faith out of self-interest, and now millions are sick, tens of thousands are dead, and 40 million are unemployed.

That last paragraph sums in up well. Prison will be too good for this band of merry grifters.

some of us knew better and wore them instead. They made us spread the virus further for three weeks until they suddenly said ,"NOW you are supposed to wear them and forget what we said before". He has the blood on 36,000+ on his hands.

South Korean study. Only 4 people died of covid-19 in Hong Kong, a city much more dense than NYC - people were wearing masks since January. CDC not only said masks were useless, they said masks can increase the risk of getting a virus. No other entity killed more people than CDC through their action poisoned with propaganda. I don’t trust them on anything anymore. And Dr. Fauci is a huge disappointment, you can’t wait for solid evidence while in a pandemic.

FDA is becoming a propaganda machine too. On the same webpage where it says - antibody doesn't mean immunity, it encourages those tested positive for antibodies, to donate plasma for treatment of Covid-19 patients. You can’t make that shit up. Risk of reinfection in negligible to none. The presence of antibodies is near 100 guarantee you won’t get reinfected for a while. What does vaccine do? creates antibodies.

that had it already and what they were doing. I knew the Japanese culture wore masks for a long time and a friend said they did it to not spread their germs to others. I told her that the US would never do that...out of vanity, macho man attitude or "my rights as an American BS". I was right. I've worn mine, and gloves, since the first week of May.

I stopped trusting the CDC, Fauci, FDA a few months ago. They have little credibility anymore. The whole system has failed us under Dear Leader. We could 't have a worse leader.

10. I was asking about wearing a mask on DU in early March (or late Feb?), because in L.A.

we they were saying it wouldn't help or wasn't necessary.
Now it's mandatory.

I believe, L.A. anyway, was saying that so people didn't go out and buy all the N95 masks (that were needed for health-care workers)—seeing what happened with toilet paper, etc, I think that was a wise move.

Now, whenever they talk about wearing your face-covering in Los Angeles, they always refer to it as a "cloth" face covering.

like they are all wearing now. It is better than nothing. They fucked this whole thing up on so many levels and in so many ways. And it is continuing.

6. Exactly. South Korea lost 264; got their first case same day as us, Jan. 20.

We have 6.5 times the population of South Korea. So if we did what they did, we'd have lost 6.5 × 264 = 1,716. Instead, we've lost over 96,000 American souls.

He is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
