FLIPPABLE: Jason Kropf for OR-HD54

Jason's daughter was born here in Bend, and is the fifth generation in the family to call Oregon home. Jason’s upbringing in a union and military family in rural Oregon shaped his commitment to caring for others. He has dedicated his life to public service and to improving our state. In his career, he has worked hard to make our communities a safe and just place for everyone, first as a public defender and now as a Deputy District Attorney here in Deschutes County.

Through his work in our justice system, he knows the hard work, dedication, and thoughtful engagement it takes to solve some of our biggest problems here in Central Oregon and across the state. That’s why he’s rolled up his sleeves to serve our community at every turn. He currently serves on a number of local boards, including serving children in crisis on the CASA of Central Oregon board, and working to protect our natural spaces on the Bend Park and Recreation Board.

But his most important job is father to his daughter, who is growing up in Bend and attending our public schools. In his spare time, Jason loves exploring the natural areas in Central Oregon with his family, hiking and biking on our trails, and swimming in our lakes and rivers. He also enjoys volunteering as a Park and Rec soccer coach and a Mock Trial coach at Summit High School since 2003.
