Do any of you have Bernie hangers on as friends?

I have a friend who has this crazy idea that Bernie is gonna turn this thing around, we will have a contested convention, and Bernie will come out on top.

It. was. bizarre.

They are actually holding on to this "you will see" thing and I am honestly stumped about it Anyone else in the same boat?

All my friends are firmly behind Joe, even if they might have liked someone
else originally. We are not stupid people. We are all senior citizens and democrats and will vote for Joe and whomever he chooses as VP.

Trump and Biden, not Bernie and Biden.

They are telling em I don't know what I am talking about. Bernie will get the nod.

... I have two that were really into Bernie, but will vote for Biden. They voted for Hillary, also. I have another who will not vote for Biden. He says it's no choice... two Republicans, or two corporate weasels. Nothing convinces him there is a big enough difference between Biden and Trump. He's a nice guy, but just not movable, sadly... and, yes, he has called Biden a sexual predator and still hopes Bernie will win the nomination.

For awhile there, their FB was full of Tara Reade "rapist" stuff. But now they are more focused on Covid-19 conspiracy theories. I guess I'll take what I can get.

Hanging onto a comeback.

My friend is black, gay, and a trauma victim who is not always emotionally stable. Most of us who try to support his efforts at sobriety and a stable life see the Bernie obsession as a way for him to feel like he has a place in the world. He feels like he belongs among the Bernie crowd, and it’s helping him stay sober and positive even as it drives most of his long-time friends insane.

Note, I'm not talking about Dems who supported Bernie, but about the anti-Dem leftists on social media who share more in common with Trumpers.

Several still talking about how Bernie night still be the nominee.

They’re also convinced Bernie would do better with black voters than Joe, when I show how they did in the primaries, no response.
