What is happening in your state?

In the city of Rochester, we have 3 major people gathering events called off for 2020....
Down By The Riverside Summer concert series at Mayo Park
Rochesterfest.....city wide celebration
Thursdays on 1st and 3rd ( for several weeks from initial start in June until further nitice.)

Word on the Minnesota Renaissance Festival still out as well as our annual Science Fiction convention in Minneapolis. I suspect those will be called off as well. Both are HUGE people gathering events that make social distancing difficult. Minnesota has not peaked yet.

1. Colorado's is under review... Not scheduled until September, but....

6. LA county fair cancelled, which is actually the largest fair in the country

4. When the Newport Jazz Festival, the Newport Folk Festival,

the Charlestown Seafood Festival, the Blessing of the Fleet, and the Rhythm and Roots Festival are cancelled in Rhode Island, you know that COVID is a serious plight. We are shut down pretty much through year's end.

5. No Calgary Stampede this year

But it's not going to stop some from dressing Western and going on a week-long bender.

7. Burning Man cancelled

8. All large events in my state are cancelled...

And the Governor isn't too excited to open three entrances to Yellowstone NP or Glacier NP either.

9. LA County Fair cancelled, Orange County Fair cancelled

All events of any kind cancelled. This really fucking sucks. But then again it's better than getting COVID.

Sturgis brings in close to 500,000 people from all over the country.

Perfect breeding ground for COVID-19 in July.
