4. I want to hear Joe Biden speaking to me directly.

I want to hear his energy, his hope, and his determination to save the soul of this country. Every sane American knows that Trump sucks. I want to hear Biden’s voice. I want to hear his voice reminding me that the United States that I love and cherish is not lost. I want to hear him tell me that my one vote in November 2020 can make the difference between saving or losing this great nation.

If Joe’s running, he needs to RUN. I want to hear from Joe.

I need Biden to speak. It is important to me to hear him directly speak to the public about these issues and his not doing so in this ad felt impersonal.

Next is the golfing sequence. The ad implies that Trump’s golfing is what has allowed so many people to die. From my perspective, I don’t want Trump doing anything. If he were only golfing, it might be a miracle. He’s only made the situation worse with what he HAS done. So what could he do? There really isn’t much that would be of benefit.

The main point I have is that this ad tries to blame a significant portion, if not all, of the COVID-19 deaths in America, on Trump. I’m a liberal Democrat, but not even I am willing to say that Trump is responsible for 100,000 deaths. The best we have is a study that says roughly 1/3 could have been prevented if he acted sooner. This ad just doesn’t sit right with me.

5. Not a good ad

It just looks like political games. R’s said Obama played too much golf too. So voters are left thinking Joe has nothing to say except the same thing everyone says. They ought to say what the pandemic plan was that they left Trump and tell us why that would have been better than the haphazard uncoordinated response that Trump’s lack of leadership left us.
