After seeing the recent crowds in the photos, I / we all know what is coming. Even my wife is tired of "seclusion" and is "breaking out". It is so sad that what we have had to endure could obviously not last. I am trying to wrap my head around this fact after "staying safe" for months. We can not be expected to live in cages voluntarily. Without real leadership, real support, and a real strategy.

There is a reason why America has lost so many people to the Coronavirus.

If America had (we didn't) and wore face masks from the beginning by rule of law, test kits (we declined them), a real leader, and a real strategy the names of ALL THE DEAD wouldn't fit on the front page of the New York Times.

All we have going for us is governors doing what they can. Of course after the virus spread for months unchecked, and un-tracked. Then these governors are getting attacked by Trump and the billionaire owned media, and his psycho cult lemmings for doing all they can to keep as many of us alive as they can. After being screwed from day one.

We are so f-ed. Not to mention all the health care workers who are going to lose their lives next month trying to take care of the jail-breakers crowding EVERYWHERE this weekend. I read on another thread the nurses should just go on vacation in 2 weeks, and let the infected fools truck into empty hospitals. It's a thought.....

I guess this is what you get when you vote for a monster like Trump, and calls a pandemic a hoax.

Death and destruction on a grand scale.

What is just as sad is the fact that even if the president was Hillary, the Republican Nazis would have made things worse than they are now. Just look at what they did to Obama when he was trying to clean up Bush's mess.

2. Oh, eye roll, crap on that. Seriously. In 2002-3 America helped keep

the spread of SARS-CoV-1 to only 24 countries, stopping it in those borders, and when it slipped past our defenses here we stomped on it and stopped it at 8 -- that's EIGHT -- cases, no deaths, no economic ruin. That's what we were supposed to do this time. There was never a need to precipitate a holocaust and ruin our economy, but the Republicans did it.

So don't like where we are this time? Don't wonder how this happened. It's because feckless fools have been letting the Republicans get power. It's as simple as that, and the fix is equally simple. .

As for premature despair about the future, living in the moment is obviously not always good for our mental health. Might help big time to read about how Europe didn't just rebuild but made great advances (because they had to rebuild) in very few years between and then after being bombed-out ground zero for two world wars.

What we can and will do when we need to -- and we put good people in charge -- is awesome. This can be the shaking up old systems eventually all need to do much better -- if we elect good people to do good things.
