White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany admonished the press corps on Friday for refusing to promote unproven theories suggesting Barack Obama and other administration officials sought to undermine Donald Trumps campaign and election with the unmasking of the presidents former aide.
Chanel Rion with One America News, which the president has praised for its flattering coverage, asked whether Mr Trump was considering pardoning his predecessor, who hasnt been convicted of any crime, for illegally wiretapping and illegally spying on citizens among other potential crimes as part of the presidents Obamagate conspiracy, in which former Obama officials are accused of entrapping former national security adviser Michael Flynn as part of a deep state sting against his administration.
The question appeared to be an assist for the press secretary to read from prepared remarks and show several virtual slides with prepared questions for reporters to ask Mr Obama.
Any good journalist would want to answer why people were unmasked, Ms McEnany said. Did anyone take it upon themselves to pose any questions about Michael Flynn and unmasking to president Obamas spokesperson? Not a single journalist has posed that question.

(12,712 posts)The one who needs unmasking, for the sake of all, is the one who is making the false accusations, which is such an obvious and now hackneyed tactic.
Fistula Face knows how to do that and keeps hammering away in order to try to control the narrative and deflect from himself in order to imply some sort of feigned innocence or integrity. It is quite the opposite to the degree of mobster-level corruption, etc.
Those tax returns would be a start, but the list of other shady and illegal activities is immense and, well, you have to point in the other direction to not get caught.
How to stop this kind of egregious injection of irrelevant, reality TV show drama is an important question. It's debilitating and myopic to say the least. We have more important things on our minds and a crisis to cope with and manage. We all share that and isn't it a shame that, with a divide and conquer monster at the helm, we are finding discord and hatred instead of much needed unity and resolve.

I'm sure Trump loves her.
