Heard this on tv today. I think it was the lt. gov. of Michigan.

In the rural areas the deer are reclaiming the highways with so little traffic. I hit one about a month ago. Split second and no way to avoid it.

3. I actually knew someone who was killed by a deer

Years ago, this guy was driving home for lunch in a rural area, with the car windows down. The deer was trying to jump across the road, and ended up diving through the driver side window into this guy's lap. In the struggle, the deer's foot ended up jammed down on the accelerator. They slammed into a bridge abutment at about 90 mph.

I kid you not.
