After watching it for some years, it seemed to me they were just social media on TV, and like social media, in the business of selling ads using divisive content.

I have nothing against social media (I'm on DU), but I think it is very important to separate it from actual news sources. I felt like crap after watching cable news, I feel much more informed (and better) after watching actual news.

And along the way I found a number of good international news programs that I can stream on Roku. It's amazing what is going on in the world outside of US politics.
