Seriously? How disingenuous.

You made the comment that the talking heads on that channel were happy with rump. She is one of them. I think she despises him.

(19,446 posts)love him...thus, most of the coverage is slanted toward that orange creature.
Not all, but most.
They want a nail biter, a horse race where it comes down to the last few yards. If they covered Biden/Democrats honestly, they would not get that.

(2,022 posts)Trump has been very good to MSNBC. The hosts don't like him personally, but Biden will hurt their ratings. One reason I stopped watching cable news is because it became obvious how phony it is.
Edit: Typo

(29,949 posts)And that is exactly what it is.
Did they not see the picture from the Delaware Vets cemetery?
Ive seen tons of clips on line of him being interviewed and released ads.
I think we would not need to beg Sanders or Independents votes if the media would be fair.
But not bloody likely.
Edited to add:
Arent we all supposed to be hunkering down in our basements? Fux Youz are.
Colbert is. Meyers is in his attic. Does that count?

(31,261 posts)Once the ratings are clear, the shit get knocked out of their heads. MAGATS don't and won't watch that channel. Once MSNBC loses the liberals, it is screwed, we need to drive that message home. Watching MSNBC then throwing a pissing fit accomplishes nothing.

(3,356 posts)If Biden just randomly called in to talk shows, would they put him right on air? Allow him to speak whatever until he jumped off the call? Thats the free reign Trump got in 2016.

(6,930 posts)Frequently, in fact. As well as discrete instead of discreet, numerous other mistakes of that type. Rein/reign is one of the ones I see most. Ok?

(27,543 posts)If you're going to cover the lower half of your face, all the more reason to let your eyes be seen, to make a human connection. Between the dark glasses and the mask, Joe looks like some kind of supervillain scientist from a Marvel comic.
Right now, however sociopathic it may be, I can see why tRump doesn't want to be photographed wearing a mask. It makes him look strong and invulnerable to his followers. Biden's appearance here is the exact opposite.

(317,721 posts)updates or being interviewed there's no need. Same with Biden.
HotTeaBag
(1,206 posts)People only see him on television, so wearing a mask when the cameras are rolling would be sending a powerful message - conversely, not wearing one while talking about how dangerous this virus is also sending a message.
In Trump's case, he doesn't give a shit about the public's health, but Cuomo is purportedly the public's champion on the issue.
...though some people say he was a bit slow on the uptake.

(2,022 posts)After watching it for some years, it seemed to me they were just social media on TV, and like social media, in the business of selling ads using divisive content.
I have nothing against social media (I'm on DU), but I think it is very important to separate it from actual news sources. I felt like crap after watching cable news, I feel much more informed (and better) after watching actual news.
And along the way I found a number of good international news programs that I can stream on Roku. It's amazing what is going on in the world outside of US politics.
Edit to fix typo.
