I must be so proud. The Washington post included my little hell hole

in it's reporting of rural hotspots. They highlighted how the Sons of McVeigh were defying orders and fomenting protests. My county has about a 14% kill rate top 5 in Michigan. No adjoining county is anywhere near that.

My section seems to be stabilizing in the 6% range of cases in the county. I don't go out a lot but I rarely see people not wearing masks.

Aren't they, by definition, a terrorist organization? The name of the outfit sure indicates such!
I sure hope they're on the DHS watchlist.

There is so much back story I wish Post had found out. Mayor initially defied order city council voted 7 to 1 to keep town open. Mayor declared they would hold regular council meetings with public involved. Rumor is chief of Police and City manager forbade them using city hall, going as far as threatening to lock him out. Sons of McVeigh and followers have routinely broken the stay at home orders. So this is result. SOBs all think they are sovereign citizens on some mission.

On FB someone opined that College wasn't involved. City council does what College says period. So many conflicts. They have been pretty silent other than a statement that they were closing school but not because of Gretchens order. That didn't help at all implying she couldn't tell them what to do. It just kinda cascades from that. I hope the good people decide they don't want to be known for this shit. There are many good people, but our effort is being undone by Trump acolytes.

701 reported cases but it's all over the map with the number of deaths. Officially, 25 have died in Ingham County, for a death rate of around 4%, but then the paper reported 40 deaths "in the Greater Lansing area" which makes no sense. Unless they're including Clinton County, too. No wonder I don't subscribe to that paper.
