Video catches woman in Central Park falsely reporting an African-American man threatening my life
May 25, 2020
By David Edwards
A video circulated on social media on Monday showed a woman in Central Park falsely claiming that an African-American man threatened her life.
The incident was said to occur between a man and a white woman over the Memorial Day weekend. Cell phone video shared on Twitter revealed a verbal confrontation as the woman was exercising her dog without a leash.
After the man asked the woman to put her dog on a leash, he took out his phone to film her.

She almost strangled her poor dog to death. Her name is Amy Cooper and her Linkedin, Instagram, and Facebook have all been made private. Gee, I wonder why. It's quite a coincidence that the she and her victim have the same last name.

(2,471 posts)The origins of Karen as an Internet meme predominately date back to an anonymous Reddit user, Fuck_You_Karen, who would make posts ranting about and denigrating his ex-wife Karen, who he alleged had "taken" both his children and, later, his house during divorce proceedings. The unintentional entertainment value provided by the posts led to the creation of a subreddit in 2017, r/FuckYouKaren, to both compile a narrative and share memes about the posts. Since Fuck_You_Karen deleted his account, the subreddit has since refocused to memes about the stereotype in general rather than one specific woman.[1]

If I was there I would film her too and call a shelter
And animal control to take that poor dog away from that bitch. Wish I could knock her out cold and take the dog to a safe shelter and show the shelter what she was doing to the dog.
