Gawd Awmightah--- let her rest in peace.
And, Donald-- no way are you ever off the hook for bringing this up.
BTW, how many here were happy with calling Joe S "Dead Intern Joe"?
Still happy about that?

(14,624 posts)Apparently Joe Scab wasn't even in Florida when the young woman died.
Her death was never labeled as suspicious. The coronor was very sure about what caused her to collapse and hit her head.
I hate the guy too but there was nothing to the story.

(2,471 posts)Hundreds of hours of TV time was invested in declaring Condit guilty of the murder of Chandra Levy, when there was no evidence that he did anything. The media also assured us that Condit had an affair with Levy, once again with no evidence.
That's the case where Nancy Grace made her move to the big time.
At the same time a Florida congress person had a woman drop dead in his office, followed by silence from the media.
The difference was Condit was a democratic congress person and Scarborough was repub.
Klausutis' death was so poorly reported that news of her medical condition leading to her death is new to most people.
Originally dead intern Joe was meant to highlight the disparity of treatment by the media. I can only guess why it has stuck around so long.

(32,626 posts)about that. I wasn't on-line so much back then, but the Gary Condit/Chandra Levy, sharks, and missing blondes saga was like a tv news era unto itself. I was wondering why I didn't remember the incidentals in the Scarborough story. There weren't any.

(37,154 posts)Dr. Michael Berkland, the medical examiner, had a bit of a dodgy history, in particular when it came to autopsies. That's part of what fueled the speculation (sometimes to the point of CT). Most dropped it long ago, but now it's weaponized CT for Trump.
Berkland had incorrectly stated on the reports that he had taken sections of several brains to be preserved as specimens for medical conferences and teaching purposes, AP reported.
He claimed they were 'proofreading errors' and the Missouri attorney general's office found they did not jeopardize any criminal cases.
In Florida:

And, as you might have guessed from the linked stories, in 2012 it was found he'd been storing over 100 body parts from autopsies in an air-conditioned storage container. Police determined they were from private autopsies he performed at funeral homes, not his work for the state.
After an autopsy, normal procedure is for for doctors to keep a tissue sample for a year in case further tests are needed, the medical examiner told WEAR-TV, adding that there is no reason to keep an entire organ.
Berkland, who is no longer licensed in Florida, rented the unit from August 2009 until Aug. 22, when the unit was auctioned off for $900 after Berkland was late on payment, police said. The manager of the storage unit, George Klages, told police that Berkland was usually late on payment but had previously always paid just before the unit was to be auctioned off.
The body parts were found in cardboard boxes when the purchaser was cleaning out the unit. Office furniture and other belongings were also found in the storage container.

Berkland may have stunk, but too many people were too quick to smell a rat.

"How many here"? Probably a 100 or so, max, at the time, and an equal amount pointing out that it was BS.
Learn to see the technique at work here. Stop taking the bait. Fuck them.

(6,280 posts).... concerning Donald Trump, I believe he has more than atoned for that past behavior. For the past 3 years the former Republican, now independent, has been eviscerating Trump and his criminal gang 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, to an audience of around two million people. I am trying to think of someone who has done more too expose Trump's lies and criminal behavior, and while there may be someone who has done more, I do know for a fact there are a lot of people who have done far less then he has. If there is anyone here who can make the claim that they have made a bigger difference to more people than Joe Scarborough has in exposing Donald Trump for the damage he has inflicted upon this country, please step forward. It would be an honor to meet you.
